TandemGPS

TandemGPS, the first GPS-based speedometer app, provides real-time speed data using integrated Light-Spectrum Signaling (LSS). Designed as a safety tool for all drivers, TandemGPS offers a safe and non-intrusive alternative to traditional numeric readouts. TandemGPS sends speeds as user-defined light signals from  devices. When used in combination with Motorcyclists’ skill-based customizations, TandemGPS’ unique interface tools address a fundamental safety challenge: maintaining safe eye-contact with the road. By providing customizable navigation conditions in a user-influenced app environment, TandemGPS empowers users to tailor their riding experience to their skill level, driving environment, weather conditions, and commutes. Each ride is saved with a unique filename and can be managed through the in-app Rides Manager. TandemGPS also allows users to create location-based rides using its link interface. This digital connection establishes a speedometer-based ride with a mapped location. This feature is particularly useful for Motorcyclists who travel in groups and want to share user-created navigation options to guide their trip. By integrating TandemGPS’ LSS signaling with user-specific monitoring and alerts, the potential safety advantages of this technology are further enhanced through continued use. As a Safety-first environment, TandemGPS provides security measures that leave essential controls to the Users. Such as: • Members can only be added to Groups who have personally shared their profile email with another verified Member. • Shared Speedometers and linked-Map files can only be shared to Groups of verified Tandem Members. • Members can also view the Groups that they are Members of, but do not Manage, in their own directories. • Any Member, of any Group, can remove themselves, quietly, from any Group without cross- app permissions and engagements. • Shared files include the username and City of the Creator of the Tandem Speedometer or Map, to augment the familiarity to known Members of the Group, or Groups.
