Description

Mindfulness practices include guided sessions, daily reflection prompts, and emotion tracking. Users can access resources for emotional support and connect with counselors. Journaling features help track mood and progress over time.

HWell combines daily mindfulness practices with resources with the goal of improving students’ overall well-being. It also provides a simple way of reaching out for help for those that want to talk to someone. I hope with the app students will be able to acknowledge their feelings, have a greater awareness of why they feel that way, and finally, be able to use the resources to address them. Mindfulness Every day, students are prompted with guiding questions allowing for internal reflection, acknowledging how they are currently feeling. Studies suggest that those who practice mindfulness can better manage stress, have reduced anxiety, and improved self-esteem. Resources HWell provides both internal and external resources recommended by the counseling team as well as their own peers. From club meeting times and locations to helpful apps and videos, HWell lists resources at your disposal. Have a recommendation? Leave it in the suggestion box to share a resource that has helped you! Asking for Help Asking for help is an objectively hard thing to do. Through the app, you can let an upper-school counselor know you want to talk, simply by providing your name and school email. This is the only information that will be shared.
