Description
Overlay traditional direction lines on a real map.
Set a reference point — your home, workplace, or anywhere you choose — and Achikochi draws the compass sectors radiating out from it, so you can see at a glance which direction any destination falls in.
FOUR DIVISION SYSTEMS
• 24 Mountains — 15° per sector, the standard luopan ring
• Eight Directions — 45° per sector
• 30°/60° alternating — the Japanese kigaku layout
• Twelve Directions — 30° per sector
MAGNETIC DECLINATION
Direction systems are measured from true north, but a magnetic compass points to magnetic north, and the gap between them changes with where you are. Achikochi corrects for it. The declination is calculated for you anywhere in the world using the World Magnetic Model, and you can override it by hand.
MULTIPLE REFERENCE POINTS
Save as many points as you like — home, work, a family address — and switch between them at any time.
