Fluid Response Simulator
Simulate patient position changes
Edwards Lifesciences
Description
Simulates patient positioning during passive leg raising to observe changes in stroke volume and stroke volume variation. Users adjust patient positions and modify cardiac function to hyperdynamic or hypodynamic states.
This interactive education tool is used to describe the effects of a volume challenge of passive leg raising maneuver on Stroke Volume (SV) or Stroke Volume Variation (SVV) as the simulated patient changes their position on the Frank-Starling curve. In addition, the simulated patient can have their cardiac function changed to hyperdynamic, and hypodynamic.
