Description

Register and submit AED locations to build a community emergency response network. Access real-time AED maps for nearby devices during cardiac arrest. Notify emergency responders and share AED locations with nearby users.

The National Emergency AED + Resource (NEAR) Registry provides centralized access to AEDs, bleeding control kits, epinephrine and naloxone, so they can be identified and deployed during life-threatening emergencies. The NEAR Registry integrates with emergency communication centers so telecommunicators can alert callers to nearby lifesaving resources. In communities using PulsePoint Respond, AED owners and responsible parties can receive real-time alerts when their registered AED is needed nearby. The NEAR Registry consolidates data from all available sources to create a unified, authoritative source of resource locations for emergency use. These sources include manufacturers and distributors, program management companies, governmental entities, school districts, airports, and partner organizations and NGOs. Many communities also collect locations in partnership with local businesses and places of assembly. The NEAR Registry is hosted and administered by the PulsePoint Foundation, a US-based public 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to empower community members to take life-saving action in the critical moments before professional help arrives. In furtherance of this initiative, PulsePoint provides access to the NEAR Registry, administrator training, and support services at no charge. For more information, please visit near-registry.org. The NEAR Registry is FirstNet Certified™ for use with 911. FirstNet Certified solutions must demonstrate 99.99% availability and pass third-party security, data privacy and performance assessments.
