Your memories and head movements are processed on your iPhone, without an app server. IMMERSIVE AND WRAPAROUND VIEWS Choose Immersive for a screen that curves around the sides, top and bottom, or Wraparound for a wide screen that curves from side to side. Prefer a familiar screen? Choose Standard. Adjust the screen size to suit you. The app remembers your preferences. WATCH YOUR 2D PHOTOS IN 3D — EXPERIMENTAL Give an ordinary photo a little depth. Open a 2D photo and choose Watch in 3D to bring the subject forward from the background. This works with photos that have depth information saved by your iPhone; not every photo has it. Everything happens on your iPhone, and your original stays unchanged. Spatial photos give the most natural 3D result. This experimental feature is for photos, not videos. FROM YOUR ALBUM TO 3D IN A FEW TAPS Choose spatial photos and videos from Photos, or import supported files. Tap Watch in Viewer, then place your phone in your viewer. An adjustable countdown gives you time to get ready. Your originals stay unchanged. SIT BACK AND LET YOUR MEMORIES PLAY Play a slideshow of the photos in your Album, using your filters and chosen order. Set the pace from 3 to 60 seconds per photo. Want videos, too? Turn on Include videos and each plays to the end. PAUSE, PLAY, OR SEE WHAT'S NEXT Press your viewer’s button or tap the screen to pause and play. During a slideshow, pause, point at Previous or Next, then press or tap. Control by Looking is optional. You can also take the phone out for upright touch controls. WATCH YOUR FAVORITES WITHOUT INTERNET Save a download in the app before you go. A small badge shows which memories are ready to watch offline. Remove downloads whenever you want to free space. YOUR ORDINARY PHOTOS AND VIDEOS, TOO Enjoy 2D memories in Immersive, Wraparound or Standard. A small 2D badge identifies ordinary media. Watch the original as it is, or try the experimental 3D option for eligible photos. Spatial memories keep their recorded 3D depth. 360° viewing isn’t supported. WHAT YOU NEED An iPhone 15 Pro or Pro Max, or a later model, with iOS 18 or later; photos or videos; and a compatible two-lens phone viewer that securely holds your iPhone. The viewer is separate and required for the 3D experience. Already have a compatible viewer? You’re ready to get started. If a memory is stored only in iCloud or another file provider, you need internet to retrieve it before viewing offline. CHOOSING A VIEWER Google Cardboard is our first choice for clarity and comfort from our testing. Look for the Google-made viewer on eBay; we’ve found listings under $15 before shipping.
