Folklore Skies shows the real forecast for where you are as a living, painted landscape, and lets the old stories stand in for the weather. When thunder is coming, a storm dragon rises over the hills. Frost and snow bring the Cailleach, the old winter hag. Fog gathers will-o'-the-wisps on the moor; a falling barometer brings the Morrígan's crows; heavy rain swells the burns and the kelpie stirs. On clear nights the moon rises over the stones. Nothing is cartoonish: the scenes are impressionist, quiet and a little eerie, with small movements that keep them alive.
