Description
See your direction. Capture your perspective.
Sightline Compass brings a compass, camera viewfinder, and altimeter to iPhone Duo, with an interface inspired by physical instruments. Designed around the fold, it also offers a focused viewfinder experience on a standard iPhone.
DESIGNED TO UNFOLD
On iPhone Duo, place the camera viewfinder above the compass dial in tabletop mode, or use them side by side. Opening your phone brings a traditional sighting-compass experience to the screen.
A VIEW THROUGH YOUR COMPASS
See your surroundings through the live camera viewfinder with directional markings and a sighting reticle. Choose magnetic north or true north.
COMPASS TO ALTIMETER
Switch instruments with an animated dial flip. View absolute altitude, relative elevation changes during your session, and barometric pressure when supported by your device and available sensor data.
ONE INSTRUMENT. 12 DISTINCTIVE LOOKS.
Choose from Outdoor Field, Precision, Sci-Fi, Naval Brass, Aviation, Surveyor, Expedition, Arctic, Heritage, Minimal, Night Ops, and Solar. Explore appearances inspired by rugged field equipment, classic brass instruments, and futuristic optics. Each includes a unique app icon that updates to match your selection.
HOLD YOUR DIRECTION
Hold a bearing and use the live compass to guide you back toward it. Save the bearing with a name and optional notes for later reference.
PHOTOS WITH CONTEXT
Capture sighting photos and keep them in your private library. Choose which instrument overlays appear when you export, including bearing, reticle, altitude, and other available readings. Share your image or save it to Photos.
A FOCUSED IPHONE EXPERIENCE
On a standard iPhone, the camera viewfinder and directional compass bar provide a clear view of where you are pointing.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account is required. Saved bearings and sighting photos are stored locally. Sharing and export happen when you choose.
Heading and altitude are estimates. Accuracy varies with device capabilities, sensor availability, magnetic interference, and environmental conditions.
