Salt & Sovereignty is a sanctuary for witchcraft, healing, story and self-reclamation: the companion app to the Salt & Sovereignty podcast. A LIVING ALTAR Build an altar piece by piece from hundreds of hand-painted things: candles, herbs as sprigs, loose and oils, crystals, statues of nearly two hundred deities, ancestor frames, offerings, tools, natural finds, and a Seasonal drawer for the sabbats and the festivals of Greek, Roman, Norse and Heathen, Celtic, Slavic, Hindu, Kemetic, Christian and folk calendars. Candles burn down in real time, with flickering light, smoke, quiet crackles and a gentle tap as you light them. Offerings go over and ask to be tended. Keep your real houseplants on it and water them on time. Tilt your phone for depth, or turn it sideways for a full-screen altar. YOUR GRIMOIRE Keep your Book of Shadows: pages, sections, your dreams, and sigils made by the letter method, planetary squares or by hand. Beside them, traditional information on herbs, crystals, candles, deities, every tarot card, rune and ogham letter. DIVINATION Draw from the 1909 Rider–Waite–Smith, the Tarot de Marseille and the Sola Busca, the Petit Lenormand and Kipper decks, or photograph your own oracle deck. Cast runes and ogham, and lay spreads in their shape: a card for the day, three cards, the Celtic Cross, Crossroads, dream, sabbat and patron deity spreads, or spreads of your own. Every reading is kept in your log. RITUALS BY THE MOON Plan rituals with the planner and spell builder or begin one from the premade book, then follow it step by step. Add them to your calendar and get gentle reminders for moon phases, holy days, offerings, watering and the rituals you've planned. Look back a few days later and note whether it worked, and see what works for you.
