Description

Cielo offers three ways to explore the sky: Camera, Photo, and Video. View clouds through your live camera, take or choose a sky photo, or open a saved video. Receive automated estimates of dominant cloud class, model confidence, approximate cover, secondary candidates, and visible scene limitations. The cover figure is a rough color-based estimate that can vary with image exposure. Selecting a photo runs one analysis automatically. Camera sampling begins when you press Start Analysis. Selecting a video starts local playback and analysis when ready; only sampled still images are sent, not the video file or audio. Camera and video use one request at a time, with a five-second pause between completed analyses. Stop Analysis pauses sampling. Sampling also stops when you switch modes or leave the app, and does not resume automatically. Results are automated visual estimates. Cloud layers, mixed skies, glare, haze, obstructions, and unusual lighting can affect the result. Cielo is not a weather forecast and must not be used for aviation, navigation, or safety decisions. Cielo requires an internet connection because image analysis runs on the Cielo service.
