Description
Saw a buck at the field edge? Tap it. Wildlife Log saves the sighting the instant you touch
it — date, time and location filled in for you — so you never miss the moment fumbling with a
form.
ONE TAP, THEN BACK TO WATCHING
• Your most-logged animals sit on the home screen. One tap logs one.
• Press and hold for a count, a note, or a different time.
• A haptic and an Undo confirm it. Location is captured in the background, so the tap never waits.
83 SPECIES OF THE UPPER MIDWEST
Deer, bear, predators, small and water mammals, game birds, waterfowl, raptors, songbirds,
reptiles and amphibians, panfish, gamefish and Great Lakes fish — the animals you actually see
in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan and the surrounding region.
LEARN SOMETHING EVERY TIME
Each log shows a fact about the animal — 1,660 of them, written for this app, and none repeats
until you have seen them all. For dangerous animals, a safety warning shows instead, every time.
FOR ANGLERS
Fish categories take weight and length, so the log doubles as a catch record.
LOG IT LATER
Forgot to log in the moment? Pick a photo and Wildlife Log reads when and where it was taken.
Or drop a pin on the map.
YOUR HISTORY, ON A MAP
Browse by day, filter by category, search by species, and see every sighting as a pin.
Complete a category — every raptor, every gamefish — and the app celebrates with you.
SIRI AND CONTROL CENTER
"Log a deer in Wildlife Log." Add Wildlife Log to Control Center or the Action button to jump
straight to logging.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account. No ads. No tracking. Your log lives on your iPhone and goes nowhere else.
IMPORTANT: KEEP A BACKUP
Wildlife Log stores everything on this iPhone only — there is no cloud sync yet. Use Settings →
Export CSV regularly and keep the file somewhere safe. Settings → Import CSV restores it, on
this iPhone or a new one. Deleting the app without an export deletes your log.
The species list covers the Upper Midwest. More regions may follow.
