Fícha is a flashcard app for Rioplatense Spanish — the Spanish of Uruguay and Argentina. Not textbook Spanish, not Spain: vos instead of tú, ustedes instead of vosotros, and the words you will hear on a bus in Montevideo or at a kiosk in Buenos Aires. SPACED REPETITION THAT RESPECTS YOUR TIME Fícha schedules every card with FSRS, a modern spaced-repetition algorithm, so you see each word just before you would forget it. Common words come first, and a Word level setting lets you focus on the words you will hear most. Set your own daily limits; they are an allowance, never a target. PRODUCE, DON'T JUST RECOGNISE New cards ask you to produce the Spanish from the English, because that is the direction you need in conversation. Switch any card to recognition when that is what you want. Practice mode runs through your whole deck, and fill-in-the-blank cards show the English sentence as a hint. CAPTURE WHAT YOU HEAR Heard a word you want to keep? Tap Capture on your iPhone or Apple Watch and record it, then turn it into a card later. Dictate a new card, or photograph a menu or a sign and pick the words you want — text recognition happens on your device. VERBS WITH VOSEO Look up and drill all 27 verb forms with the forms Rioplatense speakers use — vos tenés, vos querés — checked against the RAE. Swipe up on a revealed card to see the tú form next to vos. ALPHABET Hear every letter with its Rioplatense name, and spell any word. WORKS OFFLINE Study on the bus, on a plane, anywhere. You stay signed in, and your reviews and edits sync when you are back online. APPLE WATCH Review cards on your wrist, even offline. The Watch syncs through your iPhone.
