Description

You know the temperature. What you actually want to know is whether they need the snowsuit. Tots Weather turns the local forecast into a straight answer: what to dress your child in right now, for what you're about to do. It knows the difference between a newborn in a stroller and a toddler walking to daycare, between 46°F in still air and 46°F in a north wind, and between a bedroom at 63°F and one at 72°F. WHAT IT TELLS YOU • The outfit, layer by layer, in plain terms. Onesie, sweater, snowsuit, rain boots. • Bedtime: which sleep sack for tonight's room temperature, and what to wear underneath. Tell it which ones you own and it only ever suggests those. • Your child, drawn in exactly that outfit, so it's clear at a glance. • While you're out: what to take off or add as the day changes, what to bring for later, and when to put sunscreen on and reapply it, with a reminder at each change. • Tonight's room: once it has learnt how your room follows the weather, it forecasts the nursery at bedtime and the sleep sack to match. The thermometer at bedtime still has the final say. • How they're traveling: a carrier strips the bulky suit and warms the hands and feet; a car seat insists the coat comes off before the harness goes on. • The best window for a walk today, from the hours they're actually awake. • A packing list for the diaper bag, generated from the day ahead. • Tomorrow, tonight, so you can lay clothes out before bed. • A morning briefing and a heads-up before rain, if you want them. BUILT FOR EVERYONE WHO LOOKS AFTER THEM Children, places and the nursery temperature stay in step on every phone you invite: a partner, grandparent or sitter. Add the Home Screen widget and the answer is there without opening anything. GUIDANCE, NOT MEDICAL ADVICE The advice follows published US guidance, and every source is named in the app with a link: the American Academy of Pediatrics for safe sleep, fever, sun, cold weather and car seats, the National Institutes of Health's Safe to Sleep campaign, the EPA's UV index, and the T.I.C.K.S. rule for carriers. Sleep sack warmth (TOG) comes from manufacturers' charts. Tots Weather can't see your child and can't tell how well or unwell they are. If you're worried about your child, call your pediatrician or a nurse line. In an emergency, call 911. PRIVACY No ads, no analytics, no tracking, and nothing about your family is ever sold or shared.
