Your design on the real site, rendered and drawn up on your phone or iPad. Open a 3D model, or photograph a plan sketch, and Monocular places it on the real site, renders it, and makes the plans, sections, elevations, shadow diagrams and a full DA set PDF. DRAWINGS AND DA SETS • Plans, sections and elevations as crisp black line work: cut walls and floors drawn heavy, the ground as one line, dimensioned on all four sides • Elevations in line or shaded with the model's materials, with light sun shadows • Sections with the neighbouring buildings and the ground line from the site's real terrain, or the model alone • Black and white site plans: streets and neighbouring buildings blocked in around your design • Shadow diagrams at 9 am, 12 noon and 3 pm on the winter solstice, in plan • Any scale from 1:50 to 1:5000 on A4, A3, A2 or A1, with a title block and scale bar • DA SET PDF: site plan, floor plans, four elevations, two sections, shadow diagrams and a perspective, in one tap. Save to Files, print, mail or AirDrop • Mark up any drawing with pen, clouds, arrows, notes and measured dimensions ON THE REAL SITE • Type the address: Apple Maps satellite ground out to 5.5 km • Real terrain and the hills around the site • The neighbouring buildings, with real heights where OpenStreetMap has them • The real sun at any time of day; move and turn the model to sit it on its plot MODELS • Open your own 3D model: DAE, GLB or OBJ from ArchiCAD, SketchUp, Revit and similar. Large models run on older iPhones too • Or photograph a hand-drawn plan, or open a PDF drawing set, and Monocular builds the model • Modify: doors, windows, glazing, verandahs, balustrades, columns, slabs and walls; Interior walls, stairs, lifts and a column grid RENDER • Clay or Photoreal: a path-traced render of your exact geometry, nothing invented, on the device • Optional AI stills (OpenAI) and videos (Runway) with your own API keys, stored only in your Keychain. Pick 2 or 3 views and the video flies between them in one continuous move. You pay those providers directly; Monocular adds nothing on top.
