Description
Do you understand why you feel the way you feel?
InnerPulse is a mood tracker with built-in clinical questionnaires (PHQ-9, GAD-7). Track your mood every day, see which factors lift or lower it, and keep an eye on your mental health over time. Your data stays on your devices.

YOUR DATA BELONGS TO YOU
No account, no tracking, no ads. App lock protects your entries with Face ID or Touch ID and hides your content in the app switcher too.
Optional sync, end-to-end encrypted: when you turn on device sync, InnerPulse encrypts every entry on your device with AES-256 before it goes to your iCloud storage. Your iCloud Keychain carries the key. Neither the developer nor Apple can read the content. Sync is off by default.

HOW YOU USE INNERPULSE
1. Capture your mood. In the journal, you log your mood on a scale from 1 to 10, write or dictate a few words, and get writing prompts that match your mood and factors.
2. Name your feelings. Pick up to three of 27 feelings in four groups for each entry, from "Calm" to "Overwhelmed".
3. Connect factors. Choose from over 110 factors across 11 areas of life: sleep, nutrition, work, exercise, social life, digital, self-care, health, entertainment, environment, and finances. Add your own factors and categories, with an intensity slider if you like.
4. Customize your entry. Reorder the sections of your entry, hide what you don't need, pin factors, and drag them into order. Shake your iPhone to undo the last action.
5. Connect Apple Health (optional). With your permission, InnerPulse detects matching factors from workouts, sleep, steps, cycle, and water intake: clear matches it sets, unclear ones it suggests. InnerPulse writes your mood and feelings to Apple Health as a State of Mind entry. If you want, the app also suggests sunny and rainy days as factors.
6. Complete clinical questionnaires. In the check-in tab, you answer clinically validated screening instruments: PHQ-9 (depression), GAD-7 (anxiety), K10 (psychological distress), and PHQ-4 (brief screening). You get a score and the severity of your symptoms to take to your next appointment. InnerPulse delivers scores, not diagnoses.
7. Understand your insights. The analysis tab shows you:
- which factors go along with your mood, in which direction, and how clearly,
- what carries over to the next day, for example after nights with little sleep,
- which feelings you name how often, at which mood, and with which factors,
- on which weekdays you usually feel better or worse,
- how your questionnaire results change over weeks and months,
- your whole year as "Year in Pixels", one pixel per day.
8. Make it yours. Choose from four design themes.

IPHONE, IPAD, AND APPLE WATCH
- iPad: in landscape and in the book format of iPhone Duo, every page shows the selection on the left and the detail on the right.
- Device sync: entries, questionnaires, and factors stay the same on iPhone and iPad, photos and files up to 25 MB too if you want.
- Apple Watch: turn the crown, tap the value, done. The complication shows today's value.
- Widgets: Quick log, Week pulse, Year in pixels, and Today's Entry on the home screen, today's entry on the lock screen, with or without your score. With app lock on, Today's Entry hides note and factors.

PHOTOS, FILES, AND EXPORT
Attach photos, PDFs, and other files to entries. InnerPulse removes location data when you add them and does not accept videos. Export your data any time as CSV, as a PDF report for your therapy session, or as a ZIP with a media folder per entry. CSV import brings back data from earlier exports.
