Description
Someone at this table is lying. Can you find them before it's too late?
Betrayal brings the thrill of social deduction to your next gathering. Gather 4-20 players around the table and discover who among you has been hiding in plain sight.
At the start of each game, players are secretly assigned their roles. Most become Allies, loyal members working together to protect the group. But a select few are chosen as Shadows, deceivers who know each other's identities and will stop at nothing to eliminate the Allies one by one.
Each day, everyone gathers to discuss. Accusations fly. Alliances form and fracture. Who's acting suspicious? Who's deflecting too quickly? When the debate ends, the group votes to banish one player they believe is a Shadow. Choose wisely. Banish wrong, and you've just eliminated a friend.
While the Allies sleep, the Shadows meet in secret. They select their next target to eliminate. The Allies won't know who's been taken until the next morning, when one player simply doesn't return.
When Shadow numbers dwindle, they may attempt to recruit a wavering Ally to their cause. Will the chosen player accept the offer and switch sides? Or stay loyal and risk everything?
Allies win by banishing all Shadows.
Shadows win by reducing the Allies to equal numbers.
The table is set. The game has begun. Trust no one.
