Everyday little things rarely stick in the memory. They disappear almost immediately, like crumbs on the table after breakfast. This project suggests looking at such moments in a different way and turning them into a collection of observations where every detail matters: shape, size, mood and context.
Here is a catalog of crumbs, a visual diary of small traces of everyday life. Crumbs from the table are recorded here not as garbage, but as micro-events. Each entry preserves an image, mood, and short note, creating an unusual chronicle of days, habits, and states.
The main screen is built as simply and clearly as possible. The focus is on the Add New Crumb button, which opens the menu for creating a new entry. First, a photo is added: you can take a picture immediately or select an image from the gallery. The photo becomes the basis of the card and conveys the texture, shape and character of the crumbs.
Next, the size is set — S, M or L. The middle option is selected by default so that the addition process takes a minimum of time. The size helps you see the distribution of observations and eventually turns into visual statistics.
The next step is the mood. It is selected with one touch from a set of 16 icons. The mood requires no explanation and works intuitively: sad, calm, chaotic, joyful or strange — each crumb gets its own emotional connotation.
If desired, you can add a short note of up to 35 characters. This is not a required field, but a light comment: a thought, an association, or the context of the moment. After that, the recording is saved or canceled with a single tap.
The statistics section turns random records into a structure. It displays the total number of crumbs, the S/M/L size distribution, mood statistics, the most frequent size and mood, as well as the day with the maximum number of observations. Selected recordings are taken into account separately, allowing you to return to the most expressive moments.
