Chargers Nearby requests a list of U.S. based EV chargers from the NREL laboratory of the U.S. Department of Energy based on your location and selection criteria.
Select a State, the types of connectors you can accept, and tap Go.
This app will return the closest ones based on your current location. You can set how many results are returned - from 5 to 255 - via the slider on the main screen.
Tap a station in the results list for further details. You can tap the "Copy" button for easy pasting into your preferred navigation or map app.
Notes:
* The results are as good as the data provided by the NREL laboratory. Your EV might have more up-to-date information.
* Not sure about what connectors are what? See the list below.
* This app uses you location information only while you are using the app.
Connectors:
- NEMA1450 - 240v outlet for 4 prong plugs.
- NEMA520 - 125v outlet for three prong plugs including a T-prong.
- J1772 - Connectors for EVs other than the Tesla style.
- J1772COMBO - Like the J1772 and designed for fast charging.
- CHADEMO - Japanese standard for DC fast charging.
- TESLA - Standard created by & used by Tesla.
