This is not a point at a rock and get a failed ID app. This igneous rock identifier classifies igneous rocks by you entering the mineral percent based on ternary plots (IUGS standard) for field and calculation use. It is not an app for beginners. Quartz, foids, and olivine are calculated automatically. This calculates the rock name of most felsic, intermediate, mafic, and ultramafic rocks in a field setting. There are 7 different diagrams, 2 basic information pages, and the user guide.
