Description

Dungeon Hearts is a turn-based game about a knight, a dungeon, and monsters. The player lays room tiles, builds a path, and watches as the hero moves toward a chest or a boss. Each tile affects the knight's stats or initiates combat, so every step on the board becomes a decision with consequences. A ribbon of new tiles appears at the bottom of the screen, displaying hearts, shields, swords, monsters, chests, and intersections. The player takes one tile and places it next to an already open room so the corridors align, and the path continues from the knight's position. Health, armor, and attack power are always visible at the top, making it easy to tell whether the knight is ready for the next fight or whether they should first enter a resource room. In rooms with hearts, the knight recovers health, a shield increases armor, a sword increases attack, a monster initiates a battle until one player wins, and a chest grants a reward and advances toward the level's goal. If the player's health drops to zero, the journey ends; if the enemy is defeated, the knight continues along the open path. The goal can change from level to level: sometimes it's necessary to defeat a powerful monster, sometimes to reach a chest, or to collect a certain number of rewards. The player decides where to place the next tile, when to lead the hero into battle, and when to first collect hearts, shields, and swords. A successful plan transforms a chain of rooms into a safe route to the chest. Thus, each game becomes a mini-dungeon crawl, where the outcome depends on how the player manages the available tiles.
