Explore ESD is a cross-platform mobile application designed to serve as a personal digital concierge for families attending the Episcopal School of Dallas Open House. The app replaces the traditional paper pamphlet with a dynamic, interactive, and personalized guide, ensuring visitors have a seamless and stress-free experience navigating the event.
This project was developed to enhance the visitor experience through modern technology, providing clarity, confidence, and a fantastic first impression of the school.
KEY FEATURES:
1. Custom Itinerary Builder
- Instead of circling things on a paper schedule, families can browse all available sessions and tours and tap to add them to a custom schedule, which the app will automatically organize by time.
2. Interactive "Smart Map"
- A campus map displays the user's live location via a "blue dot" and a "Guide Me There" feature draws a clear walking path from the user's current position to their next scheduled event.
3. Real-Time Event Guidance
- The home screen features a dynamic card that always shows the user's next upcoming event, its location, and a live countdown to its start time. During breaks, the app suggests nearby ongoing events.
4. On-Demand Help
- A persistent "Help" button provides instant directions to the physical "Ambassador Genius Bar" location for face-to-face assistance.
