A minimal tool for Apple Vision Pro to place digital files onto well-made 3D objects and keep them in your space.
This app does one thing:
It lets you put an image on an object and keep it there.
That’s it.
No AI, no subscriptions, no notifications.
Just you, a file, and a surface that looks nice enough to live with.
We thought that might be enough.
To give you some more details:
Five things you can do with Obj:
- Place one of 20 objects in your shared environment (next to your other apps)
- Slap a file on it (JPG/PNG/HEIC/PDF…)
- Resize the image to fit the object
- Save the object to reuse it in another session
- Redesign the Home view of the app with your saved objects
Some more things:
- Copy an image from your Mac and paste it onto a newly placed object on your Vision Pro
- Display a GIF on the Upframe (our studios award winning art display)
- Change the size and brightness of an object to match your scene

Who is behind the app?
We’re a design studio that started with rebuilding old hardware. Most of our days are spent giving discarded technology another life. Over time, that work made us curious about the other side of the coin: what happens when you create things that don’t need to become waste at all?
That question is why we started a virtual unit (DEMAT) inside the studio. Obj is one of the first projects coming out of it. We want to explore how digital objects can feel personal, useful, and beautifully made without ever touching the physical world.
There’s a lot we want to build in this direction. More objects, more tools, more ways to design a space without adding to the pile of stuff on the planet. If you want to follow that journey, we’d love to have you with us.
