Doing a solo workout? Tell your loved ones when they should expect to hear back from you. This app uses Apple Messages to share your route, estimated return time, and appearance in case of emergency. Import routes from various other apps or draw your own routes. This is intended to be a more passive than Apple's "Find My" or "Check In" and significantly less intense than carrying a GPS Personal Locator Beacon.
I had a dry-erase marker version of this when I was a teenager for my parents to tell them where I was biking around town. This app is inspired by a time my wife did not come back from a rural run on time and I drove around the back roads only to find her limping back with a severe dog bite on her leg.
