MealBuddies App

MealBuddies is a UCLA-only social app that helps students find meal partners and connect with others over shared meals. Users can browse and create meal invitations that include dining location, time, and a short description, then accept invitations to match with other students. Once a match is made, MealBuddies provides an in-app chat so users can coordinate meal plans. The app also includes a dining menu feature that allows users to check UCLA dining hall menus updated daily. Profiles are limited to basic information such as academic year and major, and access is restricted to verified UCLA email addresses. MealBuddies is designed to support casual, opt-in social interactions around meals and does not include public posting, location tracking, or dating features.
