Description

WeekLater is built around a simple idea: we pause messages for seven days. They land immediately, but unlock in a week. It's a small constraint that changes how you write. It gives your messages a different pace — less instant reaction, more intention. On the receiving end, you know someone wrote. No pressure to reply right away — just something to look forward to. And when it finally unlocks a week later, it feels special. People Use It To: - Stay connected to friends and loved ones — with anticipation built in - Invent rituals — surprise drops, story swaps, whatever feels right - Write to future self — reflections that unlock in a week How WeekLater Works: Delayed Delivery: Your messages land in the recipient's inbox immediately, but they remain locked and blurred for seven days. The messages automatically unlock after the seven-day period, triggering an optional push notification to the recipient. Writing Messages: Easily address friends using contact suggestions, or use the specialized "future_me" contact to send reflective messages to yourself as a weekly ritual. Note: Sent messages cannot be recalled or deleted. Offline Mode: You can read all previously synchronized messages and compose new ones without a network connection. New messages will be auto-saved as drafts until you reconnect and choose to send. Notifications: Easily toggle push notifications to get alerts when messages land and unlock. Security: WeekLater is built on a robust Firebase backend, employing strong authentication, including secure sign-in via Apple and Google, and security protocols to ensure your data and private messages are always protected. Experience how the week-long pause changes your communication.
