Description

BalanceMeal is a photo food diary, AI-powered calorie tracker, and simple meal planner. Photograph what you eat, track weight, and see clear weekly trends. No ads. No subscriptions. Optional AI with your own OpenAI API key or Apple Intelligence on supported devices. I built BalanceMeal for myself first: a simple practice that worked with my coach — photograph everything you eat. Seeing every plate brings clarity, and clarity drives change. From that habit grew an app that helps you log meals, track weight, and, when you choose, use AI to estimate calories and sketch simple plans. Log meals with photos or text and add quick notes. Track weight and review weekly trends. Get optional calorie and macro estimates. When you want structure, generate a straightforward 30-day plan with daily targets, then create varied daily menus that stay within your goals. The interface is clean and fast, designed for iOS 26 with Apple’s Liquid Glass look. If enabled, AI can analyze photos or descriptions, estimate calories and macros, and suggest daily menus that avoid repetition. You can use Apple Intelligence on supported devices for on-device suggestions, or connect your own OpenAI API key to use cloud models. You choose which assistant to use and when analysis happens. Privacy first: your data stays on your device by default. No account is required and there are no trackers. Only items you explicitly send for AI analysis leave the device when using your OpenAI API key; everything else remains local. When you use Apple Intelligence on supported devices, processing stays on-device. You control costs and usage by managing your own API key. Optionally log activities, see how they affect your daily balance, and review week-over-week adherence and trends. Edit any past day, add missed meals, and recalculate with updated AI models if you wish. Important notes: BalanceMeal is a tool for tracking and planning meals. It does not provide medical advice. For medical conditions, eating disorders, or specialized diets, consult a healthcare professional. Your data, your control.
