Description
BookBatcher – Fast, private audiobook packing
Turn jumbled chapter files into a single, polished audiobook in just a few clicks.
What it does
- Merge to one file – Drop a folder of MP3 (or most common audio) tracks and get a single M4B -or- MP3 with gap-free playback.
- Chapter markers from filenames – Each original track becomes a named chapter, so you can still skip between sections.
- Best-effort metadata lookup – Click Lookup to pre-fill title, author, cover art and year from OpenLibrary; edit by hand if the hit isn’t perfect.
- All-local processing – Conversion runs through the copy of FFmpeg and AtomicParsley bundled inside the app; no files or metadata ever leave your Mac.
- Multi-core speed – Uses every core it can find, so big books finish proportionally faster on newer machines.
- Drag-and-drop workflow – No Terminal, no scripts: drop folder → tweak details → hit Batch.
Why you’ll love it
- Uniform library: Every audiobook in the same tidy format, ready for Apple Books, Bound, BookPlayer and more.
- Perfect for CD rips & podcast archives that arrive as dozens of files.
- No ads, subscriptions, or data collection—ever.
