Track daily readings and advance lists automatically
ANDREW JOHN COOK
Description
Track daily reading progress using the professor Grant Horner system. Mark reading lists as complete, advance them manually or at midnight. View a linear progress indicator for each list. Sync reading status across devices.
This app helps you keep track of your daily bible reading if you are using the professor Grant Horner reading system.
It removes the need for a printed sheet of paper or physical bookmarks.
Tap each of the 10 reading lists to mark them as read then wait for the lists to automatically advanced at midnight, or manually advance them immediately. The lists will not advance unless all 10 are marked as read.
A linear indicator shows your progress in each list.
If you are already on the PGH plan and using this app for the first time, you can set it up with your current reading position: tap the up/down icon or long press a cell to show a dialog where you can update the book and chapter.
Optionally tap the settings (cog) icon to configure these additional features:
- to open an external bible reader, such as Blue Letter Bible or Logos, at the book/chapter/verse when tapped. This feature works well in split screen mode on a tablet.
- to split long chapters, such as Psalm 119 or Acts 7, into shorter sections.
- to show a warning if you miss a day, and encourage you to catch up.
- to vibrate the device on tap or select.
Transfer your reading state between devices using the share feature.
In John 6:57 Jesus says "he that eateth me, even he shall live by me", so let us feed on Him and His word daily and do what He says, in obedience keeping His commandments to the end. Amen.
