Types: Social Spaces & Events

Types is a social discovery app designed for local hangouts and events. Explore with seven different modes: Plans Mode: Create and find plans with nearby users to hang out! Plans are designed for low-pressure 1-on-1 adventures. Only users who match your filters can see the plans you create, which helps reduce awkward uncertainty. Events: Unlike Plans Mode, events are made to be more group-based. You can also use reverse filtering when creating events so that only people who you want to interact with can see the events you create. You can also create events anonymously so that you just show up as a regular attendee, further reducing that awkward "what do they think about me?" sensation. Global Random Video Calls: Curious to meet people around the globe? With random video calls, you can apply filters to talk to strangers through video. You get to choose an age range and topic to have something to talk about. Insanity Journals: Explore peoples internal worlds by reading peoples journals. Journals give you a chance to really see what people go through in regular life – everyone has a fascinating story to share! You can create journals anonymously as well if you want to share a story but don't want any extra attention. Only you can see the list of users who have liked your journals. Business Mode: Looking for business partners? Create a project in business mode for free! Business mode is designed to be a "work together" rather than "work for" mode. We encourage sharing business ideas and revenue instead of a per-hour pay. Local Friends Discovery: Just curious to see who's around your area? Friends mode is where you can send simple waves at users. Unlike plans, waves are more private since they can't directly see who waved at them – instead 'Blue Cards' can be used. Blue Cards is where you see a list of users that have a 1 in 3 chance of having already waved at you. This keeps waves more private to reduce the same "what do they think about me?" sensation that's commonly felt by users on other platforms. Also unlike other platforms, Types does not allow users to pay-to-see waves. They'll only know if they wave at you too or if you want to be noticed, tap and hold the 'Wave' button to leave a Blue Card Note that they can see when Blue Cards Mode is activated. Dating Mode: Feeling romantic? Types offers a powerful filtering system, perfect for finding your exact type. You can use filters such as: age, gender, body type, ethnicity and ethnic origins, languages, interests, work schedule, and more! And yes – all filters are free to use! Ethos: We're excited to see what kind of connections you find through Types. Wether you're a traveler wanting to explore the area with a local, or if you just want to explore the filtering system to meet people with completely different lives and tastes compared to yours. The Types Filtering System is one of the most precise filtering systems available for user discovery. We beleive filters aren't exclusions, they're tools – we hope you see them that way as well; it's not just about finding people who are similar to you, it's about being curious and finding people who are complete opposites as well! A: Types currently has no paid plans or purchases and only makes money through ad revenue. Q: If I 'hide' a user, can they still see me? A: Nope! A hide works both ways! Once you hide someone, you won't see them again in user discovery, and neither will they; however, you might still see them in local events. Note that hides are permanent! A: How can I message someone? A: You can only message someone who has already sent you an interaction. Sending an interaction to them will automatically open up the chat screen for you to message them. Remember – last to interact must message first, or else the connection is never made!
