Use the UK ETA Visa Services app to apply for an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) to enter the United Kingdom. How to apply 1. Answer a few questions about yourself. 2. Upload a photo of your passport. 3. Upload a photo of your face. 4. Pay the application fee. The process takes about 10 minutes and you don’t need to enter your travel details. Before you start You’ll need: • the passport you’ll use to travel to the UK; • a credit card, debit card, or Apple Pay. If you’re applying for someone else, make sure you have photos of their face and passport ready. If you need to travel soon You must get your ETA before travelling to the UK. You can travel while your application is being processed. After you apply You’ll usually receive a decision within 1–7 working days; priority or express processing may be faster. If your ETA is approved, it will be electronically linked to the passport used in your application. You must use that same passport when you travel. Privacy and security The app is secure and does not store any information once closed. You can delete the app after completing your application.
