Want to watch a movie but you’re overwhelmed by the amount of “content.” Sick of algorithms serving up the same Marvel Movies? That’s why we created the movie bowl. It’s simple, fun, and will lead you down weird cinematic worm holes.
It’s simple. You need at least two people to play. Each player submits three names. These can be directors, writers, actors, or even legendary producers.
When you’re ready, click Shake the Bowl. A random entry will be selected along with the player that will choose the movie (the chooser will never be the same person who submitted the artist).
The chooser has absolute, unstoppable power. They select any film, short, or (why not?) TV episode from that artist’s career. No second-guessing allowed—just hit play and enjoy the ride.
I know what you’re thinking. What a stupid simple app. Yeah no kidding. We call it the Movie bowl, because we played it with scraps of paper in a bowl. But really what’s a better algorithm than chance and a friend to help you decide.
