MissedConnections is an iOS app that uses your location to match Boston University students with like-minded peers they pass by throughout the day, helping turn fleeting encounters into lasting friendships. Features: Location-Based Matching Matches users based on proximity, connecting them with peers they’ve crossed paths with around campus. Daily Match Summary At the end of each day, users receive a 3 people they encountered who share similar interests and are potential connections. Connect with Matches See your connections’ profiles and chat with them! Post when you Check-In Update your connections with a photo of what you’re up to at any point in the day. See previous posts on your profile. Interest-Based Algorithm Identifies shared interests to help users discover meaningful connections beyond surface-level interactions. Event Integration Lists on-campus events happening and connects users who are interested in attending. Privacy and Consent-Focused Ensures user privacy by never storing exact locations and only sharing interest-based match details. Location-based Statistics Users can be informed on various statistics of their habits, like where they match the most, how many matches they have, and more.
