Localizapp is not just a regular translation app for your project; it’s an Xcode extension that allows you to translate your project DIRECTLY into more than 25 languages.
How to Use the Extension in Xcode:
To enable the extension, first activate it in macOS System Settings → Login Items & Extensions → Xcode Code Editor. Once activated, the extension and its options will be available in Xcode.
Right-click on your .xcstrings file and set it to 'Source Editor' mode so that the extension appears in Xcode’s 'Editor' menu.
Translation Options:
· You can translate directly from Xcode using the option: 'Translate your .xcstrings file directly'. However, keep in mind that translating large text files may take some time.
· You can send your entire .xcstrings file to the main application using the Xcode extension to translate all texts in your project into the languages you’ve previously selected in the settings.
· You can add a globalContext parameter in your .xcstrings file with a text that helps the translation service adjust the translated texts to the general context of your project. Check the wiki for the correct configuration.
· Alternatively, you can translate your file from the main application by dragging it to the 'Translate' tab and saving it to your device once the translation is complete.
