Pocket Log Whisper Transcribe

Pocket Log transcribes your audio into text using your own macOS hardware, without the data leaving your computer. It uses whisper.cpp and OpenAI’s leading Whisper transcription models, running locally on your Mac. You can choose any of the Whisper models to use (smaller and faster, or larger and more accurate). Many spoken languages are supported. Whisper is currently more accurate than the built-in macOS transcription feature. Pocket Log runs in the background watching file or Voice Memos sources, ready to transcribe as new audio arrives. Files are used for any USB sources like dictaphones, SD cards, or camera devices. Videos can also be transcribed. Most formats are supported. Pocket Log saves transcriptions to multiple formats, all locally and future-proof. HTML for reading, JSON and SQLite for using as part of your own scripted transcription pipelines. Transcriptions can be pasted into ChatGPT or Gemini.
