Micro-scopic

Micro-scopic is for the student who down the road, might want to be a professional scientist, or for the adult who is more serious about microscopy as a hobby. It is a a macOS App for supporting a USB-attached digital microscope, and it provides a range of features for working with a live video feed, saved video files or saved images. Once you have a digital microscope attached to your macOS computer via USB: - You can use Micro-scopic to record video, time-lapse video or capture photos - You can save videos or photos to your file system or to your Apple Photos Library - Once you have saved a video, you can open it within this App, and if desired, trim its length and save a trimmed copy - Once you have saved any photo, you can open it within this App and add text labels to it, draw on it or measure elements displayed within it, and then save a copy of your image with these changes as a new photo - Also, you can add one or more image-filtering effects to a live video feed or to a saved photo, and then either record a video or save a photo as altered. An effect is essentially an image filter, that can: - adjust brightness, color and saturation - invert a color - apply false colors - apply edge detection - apply pixellation - apply blur effects - etc.
