You choose a Localizable.xcstrings file, and it gives you a localized file back. This is a document app, every Parrot is responsible to localize one .xcstrings file. You can have one Parrot for all languages, or each language may have its own Parrot to provide specific context. Multiple Parrots can collaborate to work on one .xcstrings file. When localizing, context is important. This app allows you to provide your app-specific context, which is then sent with every translation request to OpenAI. And the comments in your .xcstrings file will also help improve the accuracy. Set up your OpenAI API key in Settings, select the Localizable.xcstrings file, choose the languages you want to support, set weather the already localized strings should be included, edit the overall translation context, and you're ready to go. How to get better localizations? - Improve the original text, making it as clear as possible. You can use the Grammar Check function with the help of ChatGPT again to improve the grammar. - Provide comments for the strings to localize. In some cases, without context, it simply cannot be done correctly. For example: Tables. Furnitures? Excel tables? - Start with one language; if you're satisfied with the result, then expand to other languages. - Have your localizations reviewed by humans. Important Notes: - You need to provide your own OpenAI API key; the app does not provide it. - Different models have different prices; they vary more than 10 times; be cautious. gpt-3.5-turbo-0125 is cost-friendly. - Sometimes, the AI will make mistakes, check the error details and retry.
