The National Telecenter for Stroke Recovery (NTSR) provides veterans who have experienced a stroke increased access to care by introducing them to post stroke recovery pathways through innovative telehealth practices and technology. NTSR strives to improve stroke outcomes by recognizing the need for increased access to care from the moment a stroke is diagnosed following through to the subspeciality care, the recovery process and thereafter. NTSR collaborates with multiple disciplines in developing post stroke recovery pathways with the goal of long-term resilience and growth. As a result, the Stroke Recovery app provides useful resources and workflows to aid veterans in their recovery from acute ischemic strokes. The contains coursework, daily logs, a medication tracker, and the ability to input vitals and log appointments among other functionality. By utilizing Apple frameworks and services, the Stroke Recovery app can support veterans during their recovery without needing to collect user information.
