Description

Uninstalling a 3rd-party input method (IME) from macOS is not as conevenient as removing a regular app in the recent 2 decades. This utility helps you locate them directly in Finder and you can immediately manually remove them from the Finder window. This app then notifies you if your trashed IME is still running: It indicates that a relogin (or terminating these processes by yourself) is required before you can successfully clean the trash. Note: Although this app appears to be the successor of Zonble's IMRemoval app v1.x (2008-2018), this v2.x release (developed by Shiki Suen @ vChewing Project) is completely rewritten from scratch using SwiftUI and modern macOS APIs. It is Sandboxed with no system administrator privilege requirements, and you will see no UAC window called by this app. It also monitors your input method installation folders, automatically update its GUI to show the latest status of your input method installations in your file system. The Mac App Store version of this app charge fees as a compensation to the cost of the Apple Developer Program fee. Individuals who disagree with this can use Xcode to build the app by themselves using the code repository of this app: https://github.com/vChewing/IMRemoval Following 3rd-party open-source components are used in this app: https://medium.com/over-engineering/monitoring-a-folder-for-changes-in-ios-dc3f8614f902
