By the third minute of the game, your designer clothes and cash will be stolen. Your home will be destroyed, and someone will defile your carpet. Choose a nice game with piggies, flowers, and anime girls. You don’t need Drop City. There’s no two-week-long tutorial here. No consolation prizes either. Drop City is a hardcore place, but it’s genuinely fun: ■ The story isn’t pulled out of thin air. It’s a mature noir-detective tale with a femme fatale, crooked cops, and monsters. ■ A collection of shadow monsters you can level up and unleash on your enemies. ■ Constant conflicts and massive battles for control of the city. ■Stylish outfits and cool weapons that you can steal from other players. ■ Collectible cards, perks, and different build types — and much more to create an awesome character. ■ A real multiplayer experience where it’s tough, but you can make it to the top of the leaderboards.
