It can be used with minimal technical knowhow and training. With a few inputs on pier, beam, and slab details, the tool will inform on whether the arrangement is safe to carry the floor loads. Home elevation is a wet flood mitigation method in which the house is lifted above the base flood elevation and supported by new piers and beams. It is ideally suited for concrete slab on grade foundations with perimeter grade beams. Other wet flood mitigation methods include demolition and relocation.
