Description

Compassion, an international child support organization that started in 1952 to help war orphans in Korea, is currently working with 8,800 churches in 29 countries around the world to nurture more than 2.3 million children holistically (intellectually, socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually) so that they can become self-reliant adults who can change their families and communities. Compassion Korea was established in 2003 as the first case of a recipient country becoming a sponsor country, and currently about 140,000 children are being nurtured by Korean sponsors.
