Calculate fire danger ratings, fire behaviour index, rate of spread, and flame height using Australian Fire Danger Rating System models. Predict fire behaviour in specific environments like grassland and eucalypt forests.
CALC-FDI3 is designed to be used in Australia by Bush Fire Control Officers and members of Bush Fire Brigades. It makes use of the Australian Fire Danger Rating System models to predict fire behaviour for fires in the following environments: Grassland, Mallee Heath, Shrubland, Tasmanian Buttongrass, Spinifex and Spinifex Woodlands and Savanna Woodlands and Eucalypt Forests.
