AutoPairs

AutoPairs is a specialized keyboard macro program that helps you type characters that typically come in matched pairs, like parentheses and quotes. When you type, for example, a left parenthesis, AutoPairs will automatically type the right parenthesis and the left arrow key, so that you are ready to type whatever goes between the parentheses. Thus you won't need to worry about forgetting to close your parentheses. You can configure which pairs AutoPairs handles, and different applications can be assigned different settings. You can choose to have AutoPairs only work when the AutoPairs app is open, or you can set it to run invisibly whenever you are logged in. AutoPairs does not work when you are typing a password, because macOS takes extra steps to keep your keystrokes secure.
