Rooted In Richmond

Hundreds of years of Richmond, California history, in the palm of your hands. This tour will automatically trigger as you pass by stops related to Richmond's historic places and people, including Pre-WWII Japanese rose nurseries; the Pullman Palace Car factory; Social Justice and Civil Rights in Richmond; a WPA-era mural rediscovered in a post office basement; Ohlone shellmounds; and much, much more. Rooted in Richmond is a historical walking/biking tour that takes you through 16 unique stops along the Richmond Greenway and between the Richmond Ferry Terminal and El Cerrito Del Norte BART Station. The tour is six miles in length and can be completed all at once, or in segments of two miles each.
