Agerpoint Capture is the first mobile application designed to create 3D models of plants, crops and trees to enable accessible and accurate plant size and health measurements via smartphones and tablets. Growers, farmers, conservationists and other agriculture and climate professionals can quickly and easily capture data with their mobile device by walking around a single plant or planted area of interest. Agerpoint Capture uses the camera, LiDAR sensor and GPS data from compatible devices to record images, depth and location. During the capture, live feedback is provided using augmented reality tools to guide the user towards a successful capture. Agerpoint Capture uses the Object Capture API to create a draft 3D model of the plant area for initial viewing and confirmation of capture quality. Users can then select and save only the desired area for further analysis via cropping and editing tools. Agerpoint Capture also includes Augmented Reality viewing and data sharing for use in other platforms. For detailed 3D model processing and detailed plant measurements (canopy size, trunk diameter, fruit count, disease presence, species identification, etc.), users can upload models to their Agerpoint Cloud account (subscription required). Upload requires Wi-Fi or cellular connection. In Agerpoint Cloud - Agerpoint’s cloud-based spatial data management and analytics platform - these detailed 3D models and measurements can be fused with other data sources from satellites, drones, IoT sensors, etc. Agerpoint Capture requires one of the following LiDAR-enabled iOS devices to capture data: iPhone 13 Pro iPhone 13 Pro Max iPhone 12 Pro (Released 2020) iPhone 12 Pro Max (Released 2020) 12.9-inch iPad Pro with LiDAR (5th Generation) 11-inch iPad Pro with LiDAR (3rd Generation) 12.9-inch iPad Pro with LiDAR (4th Generation): Released 2020 11-inch iPad Pro with LiDAR (2nd Generation): Released 2020 Agerpoint encourages users to exercise caution when capturing data and to only use Agerpoint Capture in safe environments.
