Shamsaha is the only existing GBV crisis advocacy response program in the Middle East, provides 24/7 crisis advocacy care for women in search of empowerment, independence and safety. Shamsaha’s three mandates include: 1) 24/7 international crisis advocacy for women 2) women’s goal-based empowerment case work support and 3) community education and awareness. Further, Shamsaha’s GBV response mobile phone application has expanded services throughout the Arabian Gulf, making virtual GBV response care available for the first time ever to millions of women in the region. The mobile application will incorporate: • Emotional/information support for women from all over the GCC • Emergency food, shelter, medical care and transport • Online & cellular chat support • Regional resources and victim support tools
