EcoTowels all began over 10 years ago when hairdresser and owner of Tony Hair in Christchurch, Matthew Smith got fed up with constantly dealing with wet and dirty towels in his salon: “they were everywhere and it was taking our staff hours to launder them, plus we kept having to replenish our cotton towels every six months.” There had to be a cheaper, planet-friendly solution and EcoTowels was born.
