Extra Ears

Application serves as a virtual set of extra ears for a field or production sound mixer, listening for common recording problems and predicting aircraft flybys and estimated noise. Features include • Real-time FFT analyzer with automatic gain control and peak highlighting • Chirp Z Transform brings greater clarity to lower frequencies • Aircraft noise prediction forecast up to four minutes in future • dBFS and dBA levels (via cascading biquad filters) • Flashing ground hum detection (50Hz or 60Hz based on world location) • High Frequency Fluorescent ballast hum detection • On and Off Axis estimation • RT60 reverb time estimation • Distortion and Click detection • Noise Floor estimation • Sample and Hold Noise Prints or average low and average high volume sound • Average attack and decay rates per frequency bin Requires Wifi or wireless data connection to receive aircraft location and heading information.
