Letzplay

Letzplay is a truly original app that teaches you to learn to read and play music by correctly matching musical notes on pairs of cards as you do in the memory game, naming the note correctly, and then playing it on the built-in piano while racing against the clock. The main idea behind the game is to make this often tricky and boring but essential learning process super fun. As educators, governments, and parents realize the psychological need and benefits that gaming has on learning, this kind of educational tool has become mainstream. How to play: Once a musical note name card has been correctly paired up it is time to name the musical note and then play it correctly on the instrument by making the note sound. You then receive a point and keep going until all cards are paired, named, and played correctly. The app keeps track of your time and registers it at the end so you can continue playing to get faster and faster at reading music. In the multi-player game, you play against others to see who gains the most points. Background story: It is an idea created by a professional musician and music teacher who initially developed the physical version of the game to help engage and have fun with his students in their music education. After seeing so many of them benefit and improve rapidly from a fast and fun challenge in their lessons, he joined top app developers Nerdpeople to create Letzplay as an app to hone those skills and techniques to help music learners everywhere. You don't need to own an instrument to play. Just play the notes with Letzplay's beautiful-sounding piano. It has also been designed to help students who can’t afford private lessons or who need a new approach. In the next edition of the app other instruments will be added.
