RideWell℠ provides driving feedback to personal automobile policyholders of The Cincinnati Insurance Companies, helping them become safer and better drivers. The app automatically detects when driving starts and stops by using the drivers’ smartphone sensors to measure their vehicles’ movements. RideWell runs in the background and uses GPS and low-power sensing methods to reduce battery consumption as it logs all driving trips. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically reduce battery life. The app shows trip summaries, details on driving habits and gives useful feedback on becoming a better driver. To use the RideWell app, drivers are insured by The Cincinnati Insurance Companies and gain access when the policyholder enrolls in RideWell through the MyCincinnati app. For additional information, insureds should call their independent agent recommending RideWell.
